SALON FAQ'S

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

Things happen, we get it. But to curb consistent no-shows we have implemented :

A 50% charge will occur if your appointment is cancelled within 24hours notice and if you do not show it will be a full charge.

WHERE CAN I PARK?

There is street parking on Richards as well as Seymour St. The Richards street option is less expensive.

There are also 2 parkades located between Pender and Dunsmuir on Richards street and another parkade at BCIT located on Seymour street between  Dunsmuir and Pender. Alternatively we are located one block East of the Granville Sky Train station.

WHY DO YOU HAVE DIFFERENT PRICES FOR THE SAME SERVICE?

Proper Hair Lounge is a blended family. We are home to Commissioned based employee stylists as well as Chair Renter/Independent Operator stylist. What this means is those who are Chair Renters set their own prices in a similar way that Proper Hair Lounge & their employees set theirs: with regards to years of experience, level of education, and product usage with regard to colour services.

WHY IS THERE AN ECO FEE ON MY BILL?

Proper Hair Lounge has a keen focus on sustainability and environmental issues. In this spirit we have partnered with Eco-Action .  Eco-Action is a local company that  recovers and repurposes beauty waste {hair, colour, foils, bleach etc }. The fee you see on your bill helps to pay to keep waste out of the environment.

YOUR WARDROBE.

We are in the beauty business, so we understand wanting to look your best at all times. However, please give the outfit you wear to your hair appointment some thought. Consider that we work with bleach, colour and other chemicals. Although we do our best to ensure these products land where they are supposed to, mistakes and accidents can happen. We cannot be held responsible for any damage to clothing or other personal items while in salon.
